Why DDoS Mitigation for ISPs?

Protect Your Brand and Your SLAs

When an attack hits your network, it doesn’t just impact traffic—it impacts your reputation, your SLAs, and customer trust. Our DDoS Mitigation keeps your services running, even under large-scale attacks, so your brand stays strong.

Built to Handle ISP-Scale Traffic

Rising digital demand in Latin America and globally means more frequent and larger attacks. Our carrier-grade infrastructure is engineered to absorb and mitigate ISP-scale threats without sacrificing performance.

Keep Your Customers Always Online

Whether you serve residential, enterprise, mobile, or wholesale customers, downtime is unacceptable. EdgeUno adds a protection layer that keeps your services online and reduces churn caused by security incidents.

Operational Control for Your Team

This is more than a cloud add-on. We provide visibility, controls, and tooling built for ISPs so your NOC/SOC can operate mitigation as an integrated part of your network.

Product Features, Tailored for ISPs

Carrier-grade
backbone

EdgeUno AS7195 delivers deep regional and global peering across Latin America, engineered for high‑throughput, distributed ISP traffic. You get consistent performance and availability at scale.

Real-time detection and automated mitigation

Always-on telemetry flags anomalies in seconds. Attacks are scrubbed at upstream edges, keeping services online and SLAs intact.

Layered protection from L3/L4 to application
Multi-layer

Protection covers volumetric network-layer attacks (L3/L4) and
application-layer threats, reducing the risk of downtime for critical services

Carrier-grade control
and visibility

A secure portal provides full logs, role-based access, and live dashboards with NOC/SOC integrations. Protection is built into our IP transit and extendable on‑prem for multihomed networks.

Rapid onboarding and scale on demand

Protect your routes immediately across POPs, data centers, and peering edges. Capacity scales with subscriber growth, backed by flexible, usage-based pricing.

How It Works

3-Step Deployment (ISP Edition)

1.

Assessment & Design

Analyze: POPs, peering, transit, uplinks, customer traffic profiles.

Define protection zones, mitigation capacity, filtering rules and SLA targets tied to your customer service commitments

2.

Integration & Activation

Connect your ingress/egress links (e.g., transit routers, backbone links) to our mitigation fabric.

Configure routing/peering, apply filtering/cleaning policies, set up dashboards and alerts aligned with your NOC workflows.

3.

Monitoring & Continuous Optimization

24/7 monitoring of network traffic and attack detection. When an attack is detected, mitigation triggers automatically with manual escalation if needed.

Ongoing analytics show attack trends, traffic shifts, mitigation effectiveness and enable you to refine the policy posture as your network evolves.

Frequently Asked Questions
About DDoS Mitigation for ISPs

Yes, our mitigation service is built on a network designed for high-capacity traffic flows and large-scale attack absorption. We scale with your infrastructure.

That is our core design goal: to keep legitimate traffic flowing with minimal latency or disruption. Filtering is tuned for large-scale networks and diverse services.

That is our core design goal: to keep legitimate traffic flowing with minimal latency or disruption. Filtering is tuned for large-scale networks and diverse services.

For existing IP Transit clients, Anti-DDoS protection is typically activated instantly. For new clients, deployment is aligned with the IP Transit turn-up process. We focus on rapid integration, often achieving baseline protection within days, not weeks, with full coverage quickly following.

Our mitigation process is designed for full transparency and detailed visibility for your team. We provide a comprehensive control panel with real-time alerts, statistics, and detailed reports to ensure the mitigation is fully viewable and manageable within your existing security operations. This capability is backed by our own 24/7 Security Operations Center, ensuring expert support is always available, without becoming a black box.

Carrier-grade DDoS mitigation is network-level protection designed for ISPs, carriers, and high-availability environments where downtime can impact many downstream users. Unlike standard protection that may rely on manual response, blackholing, or delayed traffic diversion, EdgeUno’s Anti-DDoS service is embedded in the IP Transit/DIA path, uses inline detection and mitigation at the network edge, and can escalate complex attacks to regional scrubbing centers when needed. This helps reduce reaction time, avoid unnecessary rerouting, and keep clean traffic flowing to the customer network.

EdgeUno Anti-DDoS is delivered as a managed Clean Pipe service over EdgeUno IP Transit and/or Dedicated Internet Access. Inbound traffic is monitored continuously within EdgeUno’s network, with mitigation applied at the edge before malicious traffic reaches the customer. For most deployments, no customer-side hardware is required and no major changes to the customer network are needed. For more complex ISP environments, including multi-homed scenarios or partner-led services, custom architectures can be scoped through Professional Services.

SLA terms depend on the contracted service plan and the executed Service Order/SLA. EdgeUno positions the service with carrier-grade availability, managed mitigation, 24x7 SOC/NOC operations, and contract-defined SLA commitments. For customer-facing documentation, this should be stated as: “Specific SLA commitments, service credits, exclusions, and response metrics are defined in the customer’s signed Service Order and Service Level Agreement.”

Modern DDoS attacks are faster, more automated, and often launched through distributed botnets. EdgeUno helps protect customers by continuously monitoring inbound traffic, detecting abnormal patterns, and filtering malicious traffic at the network edge before it impacts the customer network. For complex or high-volume attacks, traffic can be escalated to regional scrubbing infrastructure so clean traffic continues to reach the customer.

EdgeUno offers three Anti-DDoS plans: Lite, PRO, and Always-On. Lite focuses on mitigation at the edge of the network. PRO combines edge mitigation with escalation to a scrubbing center when needed. Always-On routes all traffic through scrubbing centers at all times to protect critical infrastructure and mission-critical services.
